The first part is an in-depth study of 18th, 19th and 20th century musical styles through analyzing the important elements such as Melody, Harmony, Texture, Structure, etc. The second part includes a comparison of all the compositions with similar styles in order to clearly observe those specifics and characteristics of their musical features. A thorough inspection from different viewpoints on all the elements that cause the similarities and differences of these compositions will be covered. This module focuses on developing competencies in topic selection, data collection, and research methodology.
