This module will offer an introduction to the main subtitling techniques complemented by a series of practical exercises in which the most popular tools in the market will be used.
At the end of the module, the student will be able to legalize and synchronize videos independently, using the main computer tools available in the market and following the best practices for guaranteeing clarity and legibility of the subtitles.

This module aims to present an updated contextualization of business relations, particularly between China and Lusophone countries and regions.
In concrete terms, the module aims to analyze the structure, characteristics, terminology and the respective methodologies and techniques of translation of commercial texts, addressing topics related to the translation of commercial correspondence, contracts, certificates, reports of various types and for various purposes, official letters, minutes, notices, memos, catalogs, operating manuals, advertisements, and marketing materials.

Translation Workshops
The Translation Workshops module aims at an intensive training in translation practice, sensitizing the student to the questions of the variation of formats, registers and styles associated with different genres and sub-genres, as well as to terminological and cultural aspects (explicit and/or implicit) inherent in the two working languages. Students will experiment with and compare different conceptions and paths of the translation act.
