Selected Topics in Political and Economic Development and Social Governance in Macao
This module introduces the topics of political and economic development after Macao's return to China from the Portuguese administration. By studying major political or economic historical events or processes affecting the development of Macao, students may construct a new development scenario and discover its theoretical significance. To this end, influential literature on the subject will be presented as basic reading materials and discussion materials. Students will also be invited to explore "raw materials" (primary sources) on the subject, including original government archives, laws, policies, and planning texts, in order to explore explanations for historical outcomes.

Its research scope is quite wide, and its research methods are often achieved through the integration of science and technology. Basically, public affairs management should first emphasize citizen's literacy and interaction, public and private sector operation, public and private sector interaction, citizen participation in public policy, community development affairs management, government productivity, public service and transportation system management, public and private sector financial planning management, social resources integration and operation management, urban management, local government management, local economic development strategy, development and management of social human resources, public works monitoring system management, and environmental management. Public affairs refer neither to the affairs of the government and the public and private sectors nor to the affairs of the general public. They refer to the affairs that must be solved through public action, coordination, and implementation of government units, and professional knowledge.
